The full review
The Brooklyn Museum often gets called the city's most underrated, partly because it sits across the Brooklyn Bridge from the better-known Manhattan institutions. The Egyptian galleries on the third floor rival the Met's; the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art on the fourth holds Judy Chicago's Dinner Party as its centerpiece. First Saturdays — free programming until 11 PM — are the city's best free museum night.
