The full review
LACMA is in the middle of a major Peter Zumthor redesign that closed several of its buildings; check the website before going. What's open is still substantial — the Resnick Pavilion, the Broad Contemporary Art Museum building, plus the Japanese Pavilion. The forecourt with Chris Burden's Urban Light and Michael Heizer's Levitated Mass are open and free.
