About this museum
Founded 1935 — the first West Coast museum exclusively for modern art. The 2016 Snøhetta expansion doubled the gallery space and added one of the largest contemporary collections on the West Coast. The Pritzker Center for Photography is the largest dedicated photography space in any US art museum.
